Just goes to show the music of the Celts (irish, Scottish, Welsh etc) is timeless the Italian german will all have their day of fame just give it time. Things come in cycles.

why is celtic music so popular now?its odd that this one culture is so popular for its folk music whereas other cultures (german, polish, italian) etc are notmost artists from those countries must become mainstream to succeedits kind of odd =]
