...but what if she did whatever she wants to do in her privacy? should that be banned to? I think this is all a lot of moralistic interfering, and lack of desire to point fingers inwards...I read someone saying guys rape women because of porn? are we even on the same planet? rapes and abuse did not happen before the first porn movie was made? really? wow, I just think that is a great argument, a great cause-and-effect relation.

you hit the nail on the head :)

this interview makes me think of the song freedom of choice by devo. Tyra seems slightly hypocritical for someone who had her near naked body on the cover of sports illustrated. I'm sure 100 years ago that would have seemed to most people as something for a 'whore' to do.In another 100 years maybe all the kids will be having consensual, violent S&M play and porn will be full of animals and children (no freedom of choice). Then we will look back at that nice wholesome porn girl sasha grey...

1.herpes can be transmitted by someone who does not know he/she has herpes, and it does not have to be genital herpes. 2. condoms are no match for chlamydia.3. People who work in food processing factories get infections from their work on a regular basis...think about it. 4. Chomsky makes a good point about porn, the parallel with sweatshops; I do not see anybody criticizing teenagers who work at fashion stores selling clothes made by slave kids...I do not like porn, btw,but...

One can also notice that it is even safer to work in a brothel (at least Nevada) than in the porn industry:"Since the institution of mandatory condoms in Nevada's brothels in 1988, not a single sex worker has contracted HIV. Workers must be repeatedly tested for HIV, syphilis, gonorrhea, and chlamydia to maintain a state health and work card."(ibid) The lates outbreak of HIV in US porn industry was 2004 when one man infected four women.

Where do you find a country today without TV?When one interviews sex criminals and rapists, porn is often a common denominator. Ted Bundy said in an interview short before he was executed, that the serial killers and sex offenders he spent time in prison with had one interest in common: PORN!

One can ofcource count in different ways but the rates for chlamydia and ghonnorea is:7.7% of females and 5.5% of males had chlamydia, and 2% overall had gonorrhea. These rates are much higher than in patients visiting family planning clinics, where chlamydia and gonorrhea rates were 4.0% and 0.7%, respectively.Adult Film Industry: Time to regulate (2007)
