no that's not a cello, it's a double bass, accoustic bass, or upright bass. you can't slap a cello, well you could i guess but it would sound wierd. and there isn't a "massive difference" between the terms "accoustic" and "double" bass. you guys are thinking of an accoustic bass GUITAR...

Gee---what do people understand by the term "Acoustic" ? Quite simply ---Of or being an instrument that does not produce or enhance sound electronically----therefore, this is Acoustic bass ! ! ! ---Yes, a double bass, and by nature (not powered), ACOUSTIC !

Acoustic Bass is Great, However they can be quiet. They dont seem usually to be as loud as Acoustic Guitars unless its a Really top range Bass. You might need one of those mini amps that connect to your belt? |
