I will not claim the show is fixed, but there is no question in my mind that Melinda should have won. She was by far the best vocalist on the show that season, and quite possibly the best of any AI season. She is amazing, and I would gladly pay to see her in concert anytime. The fact that she didn't win is a travesty.

More than 2 years now, yet this performance still gives me the chills....cant stop watching this. With Ryan and Simon's funny bickerings, and this amazing performance..this has gotta be the greatest American Idol moment.
