dont be so narrow minded b/c now u r acting the same way as the ppl u supposedly hate. and u have to keep in mind that the number of ppl who think gay ppl r wrong for just being born is a minority the majority are perfectly comfortable with gay ppl.

well I guess I should appologize.I tend to let loose a little when my emotions get involved..and a good song does that easily.I guess its wrong of me to blame the whole group for what individuals in that group have done.guess ive got some growing up to do. :-)

Just... keep in mind that isn't all straight folk that are assholes. Hubby and I work hard for the HRC and my senator and house rep both receive weekly letters on the subject from me. Sometime their isn't anything to be revenged.Though I will agree that the fact that our society is gayphobic on such a ridiculous and stupid scale makes homophobia one of the most worrying of our fucked up rainbow of human oppression. The US is absolutely retarded about it.

it may make me sound heartless or sexist, but because what ive been through at the hands/thoughts/words/religions...etc, of heteros...i couldnt care less what any of them have to go through anymore.any pain(physical/emotional/spiritual...etc) they have is retribution as far as im concerned.

Everybody has hardships, and the human capacity for bias is boundless and frightening. Being straight doesn't preclude that, any more than being male or being white does. We're all a big fucked up rainbow of oppression.

Wow..this song takes on a different meaning when a gay person is singing it...every time i hear a song sung by straight ppl about how hard life is for them i cant help but laugh..i mean really what do straight people know about a hard life? how many times have they been told theyre wrong just for being born? never! thats how many!Tom Petty's version was always empty words to me...Melissa's version definatly hits home.
